What is Canberra to Cairns backloading?
Backloading is when you book the remaining truck space on a truck that’s already booked by someone else. It often means you may have to be slightly flexible on your pickup and delivery dates & times, but in turn it usually means big cost savings relative to booking a "primary load".
Booking backloads is a common practice among interstate removalists, who are often willing to give cheap or discounted prices for the available space in a truck that is going from point A to point B, or on the return journey if they have been unable to find a customer needing to move in the opposite direction.

Great customer service from Kristy, and great connection with a removalist that met our requirements!
6 months ago I called MUVAL and asked if they would have a removalist pick up some expensive furniture from Albury NSW and bring it to the Gold Coast QLD. I spoke to Karla who was the most patient, caring and professional person I have deal...

Seriously, moving and divorce the two most stressful experiences one can go through! Too bad Shaz at Muval doesn't do marriage counselling as well because she's made our upcoming move from Qld to Tas an absolute breeze. Nothing was too much...

I had a great experience with Sharon from Moval. Although we didn't end up booking through them for an unrelated reason, she worked really to get us an affordable and accurate quote with a very well reviewed removalist.
Shaz is an amazing asset to this company. What a powerhouse!!!! Not only did she book our huge interstate move in under 24hrs, but kept me in contact the whole time and made the experience stress free. What a proffessional, respectful amd e...

Shout out to Jamal from Muval for providing excellent service. Really patient, professional and helpful in helping organise our move.
After trying a pack your own service and realising it would take 14 business days to deliver our furniture interstate, I set about looking for a company that could deliver next day. I requested a quote through Muval and was contacted by Jam...
The agent was incredibly responsive to our unique needs, especially when moving hardware that doesn't fit neatly into online moving quote lists. Prices are incredibly competitive and it takes the hassle out of having to go out and compare a...

The first thing to do once you’ve moved into your new home is to check the house. Check out Chapter 4 of our moving house guide for a detailed outline of what to do after you move.
Depending on the destination and the state you are going to. Standard delivery times vary from one day to 21 days.
The best way to ensure a successful move day is to be prepared. One way to do this is to notify your removalist about any very heavy or awkward-to-move items before move day. It can never hurt to double-check with them that they understand that you have these items, even if you have also submitted an inventory list. These sorts of items include:
- Grand / Baby grand piano
- Pizza oven
- Concrete furniture
- Pool / snooker tables (particularly slate)
- Many pot plants / large pot plants
It is preferable to consider taking out an all-risk policy for your move. We offer two different options of coverage for your move, which include lowering the excess to obtain a lower premium or the ability to cover specific items of your move: https://www.muval.com.au/cover
Generally, it is around four porta-robes or 6 standard cartons for a wardrobe.
The earlier you book your move the more confident you can be that the date you wish to move will be available. However, the time in advance that you should book is heavily dependent on the time of year. Between October and March we recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance of when you want to move. From March - September you can leave it a little later, booking 2-3 weeks out.
If you change your list of items or space required a week before your move, we can usually adjust the price accordingly. In some circumstances this won’t be possible depending on the booking volume and amount of change and notice provided.
If you have booked the shared truck option, then yes. If you have booked a premium option, then you will not be sharing the truck.
